ZERO CO2?

Reduce CO2 emissions and save on costs

WHY
reduce CO2 emissions?

  • Reduce costs
Many measures can easily be recouped within five years.
  • Stand out positively in the market
Customers, consumers, and employees are increasingly opting for sustainable choices.
  • Contribute to achieving climate goals
The national climate target is a minimum 55% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030. Because together we can achieve the most!
  • Comply with legal obligations

From 2023, there will be an obligation to provide information on energy savings and, for some, a reporting obligation under the European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), the EED audit obligation.

Save on your costs by making your processes CO2-free. Make an appointment now for a no-obligation introductory meeting!

We help you to:

Reduce

your CO2 emissions by returning processes and equipment to basic conditions and then looking for opportunities to save energy.

Replace

them with sustainable sources.

Compensate

for the parts for which it is not possible to reduce CO2 emissions to zero.

The practical path

to CO2 zero

We are The Carbon Zero Club. We help companies reduce their CO2 emissions to zero, become CO2 neutral, and meet the Dutch targets for 2030. We focus primarily on medium-sized and large manufacturing companies, as they often have significant CO2 reduction potential.

How do we do that? We examine the production process using our unique Operational Excellence approach and together we determine the smartest way forward in three practical steps:

  • REDUCE – we bring the right processes into basic conditions and improve them
  • REPLACE – with non-fossil sources
  • COMPENSATE – for the parts where it is not possible to reduce CO2 to zero

This is how we lower your energy bill and help the planet for the future of our children.

We are only satisfied when

it is proven that CO2 emissions are decreased

Who are we?

We are a group of driven people with the same passion: reducing our CO2 emissions and those of companies as much as possible, while also saving on your energy bills and raw material costs, among other things. We are motivated, visionary doers who help your company transition to zero CO2.

Realistic solutions

We work independently and think along with the organization. We collaborate intensively with all stakeholders and strive for realistic, manageable, and concrete solutions. Think of us as the catalyst that can kick-start the transition for you, action-oriented project managers who have the time and knowledge to help you get started. We are going for ZERO, aren’t you?

What our customers say

Listen • Connect • Implement together

How do we initiate change?

  • Together with your organization, we draw up a plan to reduce CO2 emissions to zero, with clear deadlines agreed upon with those ultimately responsible.
  • We implement the plan together with your organization: we immerse ourselves in the culture and the people, and we know who to approach for what.
  • Together, we will go through the ups and downs of the entire implementation process.
  • We will only be satisfied when CO2 emissions have been proven to have fallen to the agreed level or when the organization can continue independently.

Knowledge network

The transition is a process without ready-made solutions, in which we must work together to find the best way forward. And that's where The Carbon Zero Club comes in. We are backed by the Urgenda network, which provides us with valuable knowledge, as they know all the frontrunners in the transition within the Netherlands.

Boboli bread’s carbon footprint is getting significantly smaller

The Carbon Zero Club advises Boboli on reducing their carbon footprint. “In particular, we looked at the waste stream, reducing waste and loss within the production process. Together, we increased line occupancy, which means there are more rolls on the conveyor belt and you can bake more rolls in the same amount of time. That also saves quite a bit of energy.”

Marley Spoon reduces electricity consumption by 11 percent.

One of The Carbon Zero Club’s customers is Marley Spoon, a supplier of meal kits. “We put together a team consisting of the building owner, Marley Spoon employees, and external experts, and drew up a plan to reduce electricity consumption.”

CO2 roadmap to zero at production site

I was given the opportunity to draw up a plan to become CO2 neutral by 2030. And that for a production environment with approximately 400 FTEs for a major A-brand. From the outset, I was honest with my client: they would be my first pilot project, but they were fine with that.
